THERE WERE TWO
GODS ON THE MOUNTAIN WHEN GOD GAVE THE TEN
COMMANDMENTS.
WHICH GOD GAVE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS?
GOD THE WORD
OR GOD THE FATHER?
WHICH GOD SPOKE TO MOSES FACE TO FACE?
THE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS MAY SURPRISE YOU.
READ ON FOR NEW KNOWLEDGE.
Exo
24:9 Then
Moses went up, also Aaron,
Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of
Israel,
Exo
24:10 and
they saw the God of Israel.
And there
was under His feet as
it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was
like the very heavens in its
clarity.
Exo
24:11 But
on the nobles of the children
of Israel
He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they
ate and drank.
In the above scripture the God of Israel spoken
of is Hebrew 430 {Strong’s
Concordance} which means Elohym. This is God the word.
This is also confirmed
because the elders saw Him and ate and drank with Him.
We understand that you cannot look on God the
Father {Hebrew 3068} and
live.
In Exodus 24 v 12 the God who called Moses up to
the top of the mountain
and gave him the Ten Commandments is Johovah {H3068}.
The Hebrew 3068 can only
refer to God the Father it cannot refer to Christ.
Please refer
to our article at this
site entitled "God the Father Revealed" for a full
explanation of
this knowledge.
Exo
24:12 Then
the LORD said to Moses,
"Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I
will give you tablets
of stone, and the law and commandments which I have
written, that you may teach
them."
You will notice if you look up the concordance
that there are two
different names used for two different Gods.
The God who spoke to the elders was H 430 Elohym
{God the Word}.
This word is used for God the Word, and in some
scriptures The Father,
and can be used for either the Word or the Father or
at times it can be used to
mean both.
Notice that God the word gave to Moses the
lively oracles, the Father
gave the Ten Commandments, but Christ gave the lively
oracles.
Act
7:38 "This
is he who was in the
congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who
spoke to him on Mount Sinai,
and with
our fathers, the one who received the living oracles
to give to us,
The God who called Moses up to the top of the
mountain and gave the Ten Commandments
to him was H 3068, Jehovah, God the Father.
This word 3068 can only be used for the Father.
The God who gave the Commandments cannot be
looked upon.
Exo
33:17 So
the LORD said to Moses, "I
will also do this thing that you have spoken; for
you have found grace in My
sight, and I know you by name."
Exo
33:18 And
he said, "Please, show me
Your glory."
Exo
33:19 Then
He said, "I will make
all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim
the name of the LORD
before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be
gracious, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion."
Exo
33:20 But
He said, "You cannot see
My face; for no man shall see Me, and live."
The God in Verse 17 is H3068 which is Jehovah.
The God who spoke to Moses face to face is also
H3068.
Exo
33:11 So
the LORD spoke to Moses face to
face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would
return to the camp, but his
servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not
depart from the tabernacle.
Now you are probably wondering how this is
possible, God the Father says
you can’t look on Me and live, and yet Moses spoke to
Him face to face, the
following scriptures explain quite clearly how this
happened.
God the Father
appears in a cloud.
Exo
33:9 And
it came to pass, when Moses
entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud
descended and stood at the
door of the tabernacle, and the LORD
talked with Moses.
Psa
99:6 Moses
and Aaron were among His
priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon
His name; They called upon
the LORD, and He answered them.
Psa
99:7 He
spoke to them in the cloudy
pillar; They kept His testimonies and the ordinance
He gave them.
Deu
5:4 The
LORD talked with you face to
face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.
We also know that in some instances God the
Father appears invisible.
1Ti
1:17 Now
to the King eternal, immortal,
invisible, to God who alone is wise, be
honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
He also appears in a vision.
Gen 15:1 After
these things the word of the LORD came
to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid,
Abram. I am
your shield, your exceedingly
great reward."
The Father also
appears in a whirlwind.
Job 38:1 Then the
LORD answered Job out of the
whirlwind, and said:
The Father
appears in a fire.
Deu
5:4 The
LORD talked with you face to
face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.
The Father also
appears in a dream.
1Ki 3:5 At Gibeon
the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night;
and God said, "Ask! What
shall I give you?"
It is amazingly clear that Johovah spoken of in
the above scriptures is
God the Father.
Strong’s Concordance has the following meaning
for Lord, H3068 Yehovah -
self existent, Eternal, Jewish national name of God.
H3068 is the number for Lord and is God the
Father only.
To understand about the Father and Christ we
have to unlock the key to
understanding.
Joh
8:19 Then they said to
Him, "Where is Your
Father?" Jesus answered, "You
know neither Me
nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have
known My Father also."
To understand the truth of God the Father and
His Son Jesus Christ, we
have to know who they are. The Father is the One
True God. He is
the only one who has always existed.
Jesus Christ
is the born Son of God
before creation.
When this new
knowledge is believed and
accepted, then and only then, will the reader begin
to know the Father and His
Son Jesus Christ.
Eph
1:17 that
the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the
spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of Him,
All things are done through Christ, God the
Father gives the knowledge of
Him to us through Christ.
It is up to us. Will we believe God?
Will we accept this new
knowledge about Him?
There were two Gods on the mountain. Now
we know who they were.
