THE TEN HORNS
In the books
of Daniel and
Revelation is mentioned a beast with 10 horns. The 10 horns
are identified
as 10 kings. These kings would be over 10 countries or
nations. Who are these
kings or nations? In Psalm 83
is given a list
of 10 nations let’s look at the scripture. Psa 83:1 A Song. A
Psalm of Asaph. Do not keep silent,
O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still,
O God! Psa 83:2 For
behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And
those who hate You have lifted up their head. Psa 83:3 They have
taken crafty counsel against Your
people, And consulted together against Your
sheltered ones. Psa 83:4 They have
said, “Come, and let us cut them
off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may
be remembered no more.” Psa 83:5 For they
have consulted together with one
consent; They form a confederacy against You: Psa 83:6 The tents
of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab
and the Hagrites; Psa 83:7 Gebal,
Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the
inhabitants of Tyre; Psa 83:8 Assyria
also has joined with them; They have
helped the children of Lot. Selah Psa 83:9 Deal with
them as with Midian, As with
Sisera, As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon, Psa 83:10 Who
perished at En Dor, Who became as refuse
on the earth. Psa 83:11 Make their
nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb,
Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, Psa 83:12 Who said,
“Let us take for ourselves The
pastures of God for a possession.” Psa 83:13 O my God,
make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind! Psa 83:14 As the fire
burns the woods, And as the flame
sets the mountains on fire, Psa 83:15 So pursue
them with Your tempest, And
frighten them with Your storm. Psa 83:16 Fill their
faces with shame, That they may
seek Your name, O LORD. Psa 83:17 Let them
be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish, Psa 83:18 That they
may know that You, whose name alone
is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth. Below is the
list of the
nations mentioned in Psalm 83. Edom Ishmaelites
Moab Hagrites Gebal Ammon Amalek Philistines
Tyre Assur
{Assyria} who helped
the children of Lot. Let’s look
at these nations
individually. EDOM Edom is
Esau, the brother of
Jacob. Gen 36:1 Now this
is the genealogy of Esau, who is
Edom. Edom is
possibly Turkey. Gen 36:8 So Esau
dwelt in Mount Seir. Esau is Edom. Gen 36:9 And this
is the genealogy of Esau the father
of the Edomites in Mount Seir. This next
verse says that
Edom wanted to destroy, make desolate, or make bare
the city of Jerusalem. Psa 137:7 Remember,
O LORD, against the sons of Edom
The day of Jerusalem, Who said, “Raze it, raze it,
To its very foundation!” Edom was
responsible for
vengeance against Judah. Eze 25:12 ‘Thus says
the Lord GOD: “Because of what
Edom did against the house of Judah by taking
vengeance, and has greatly
offended by avenging itself on them,” Edom was
violent against
Judah. Joe 3:19 “Egypt
shall be a desolation, And Edom a
desolate wilderness, Because of violence against the
people of Judah, For they
have shed innocent blood in their land. Israel was
sent as captives
to Edom, and Edom did not remember they were brothers. Amo 1:9 Thus says
the LORD: “For three transgressions
of Tyre, and for four, I will not turn away its
punishment, Because they
delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, And did
not remember the covenant of
brotherhood. Edom never
put aside his
wrath for Israel. Amo 1:11 Thus says
the LORD: “For three transgressions
of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away its
punishment, Because he pursued
his brother with the sword, And cast off all pity;
His anger tore perpetually,
And he kept his wrath forever. Edom was
violent to Jacob. Oba 1:10 “For
violence against your brother Jacob,
Shame shall cover you, And you shall be cut off
forever. Edom joined
in against the
captives of Jerusalem. Oba 1:11 In the day
that you stood on the other side
In the day that strangers carried captive his
forces, When foreigners entered
his gates And cast lots for Jerusalem Even you were
as one of them. This
scripture refers to the
time of Israel’s captivity. Eze 35:5 “Because
you have had an ancient hatred, and
have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the
power of the sword at the
time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to
an end, Edom
rejoiced over the
destruction of Judah and was proud of their distress. Oba 1:12 “But you
should not have gazed on the day of
your brother In the day of his captivity; Nor should
you have rejoiced over the
children of Judah In the day of their destruction;
Nor should you have spoken
proudly In the day of distress. Edom stole
from Judah in
their day of calamity. Oba 1:13 You should
not have entered the gate of My
people In the day of their calamity. Indeed, you
should not have gazed on their
affliction In the day of their calamity, Nor laid
hands on their substance In
the day of their calamity. Edom stopped
those who were
escaping, and gave up to the enemy others who remained
of Judah. Oba 1:14 You should
not have stood at the crossroads
To cut off those among them who escaped; Nor should
you have delivered up those
among them who remained In the day of distress. Edom will
reap what he has
sown, he will be treated as he has treated others. Oba 1:15 “For the
day of the LORD upon all the nations
is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you;
Your reprisal shall return
upon your own head. ISHMAELITES The
Ishmaelites are Saudi
Arabia. These are
the descendants of
Abraham through the bond woman, Hagar. Gen 17:20 And as for
Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold,
I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and
will multiply him
exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I
will make him a great nation. Gen 25:12 Now this
is the genealogy of Ishmael,
Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s
maidservant, bore to Abraham. Gen 25:13 And these
were the names of the sons of
Ishmael, by their names, according to their
generations: The firstborn of
Ishmael, Nebajoth; then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Gen 25:14 Mishma,
Dumah, Massa, Gen 25:15 Hadar,
Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. Gen 25:16 These were
the sons of Ishmael and these were
their names, by their towns and their settlements,
twelve princes according to
their nations. The
following verse shows
that Esau intermarries with Ishmael. Gen 28:9 So Esau
went to Ishmael and took Mahalath the
daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, the sister of
Nebajoth, to be his wife in
addition to the wives he had. These are
the chiefs / dukes,
which are Ishmael’s descendants. Gen 36:17 These were
the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son:
Chief Nahath, Chief Zerah, Chief Shammah, and Chief
Mizzah. These were the
chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom. These were the
sons of Basemath, Esau’s
wife. Notice how
Ishmael is against
everyone. Gen 16:12 He shall
be a wild man; His hand shall be
against every man, And every man’s hand against him.
And he shall dwell in the
presence of all his brethren.” The
Ishmaelites bought
Joseph. Gen 37:28 Then
Midianite traders passed by; so the
brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the
pit, and sold him to the
Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they
took Joseph to Egypt. Exo 3:1 Now Moses
was tending the flock of Jethro his
father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the
flock to the back of the
desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. The
Midianites {Ishmaelites}
lived in Saudi Arabia. Ishmael
became an archer. Gen 21:20 So God was
with the lad; and he grew and
dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. Gen 21:21 He dwelt
in the Wilderness of Paran; and his
mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt. The next
verse refers to
Ishmael and Isaac, just as Ishmael persecuted Isaac
when he was a young man, so
it is still happening today. Gal 4:29 But, as he
who was born according to the
flesh then persecuted him who was born according to
the Spirit, even so it is
now. MOAB This nation
is started by an
act of incest and the people are therefore interbred.
Modern day Jordan. Gen 19:36 Thus both
the daughters of Lot were with
child by their father. Gen 19:37 The
firstborn bore a son and called his name
Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. Look at the
type of people
they are. Num 21:29 Woe to
you, Moab! You have perished, O people
of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, And
his daughters into captivity,
To Sihon king of the Amorites. The end will
not be nice for
Moab. Isa 25:10 For on
this mountain the hand of the LORD
will rest, And Moab shall be trampled down under
Him, As straw is trampled down
for the refuse heap. This could
be one of the
horns, which is uprooted by the little horn. Jer 48:43 Fear and
the pit and the snare shall be upon
you, O inhabitant of Moab,” says the LORD. They will
reap what they sow. Eze 25:8 ‘Thus says
the Lord GOD: “Because Moab and
Seir say, ‘Look! The house of Judah is like all the
nations,’ Eze 25:9 therefore,
behold, I will clear the territory
of Moab of cities, of the cities on its frontier,
the glory of the country,
Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kirjathaim. Eze 25:10 To the men
of the East I will give it as a
possession, together with the Ammonites, that the
Ammonites may not be
remembered among the nations. Eze 25:11 And I will
execute judgments upon Moab, and
they shall know that I am the LORD.” Zep 2:8 “I have
heard the reproach of Moab, And the
insults of the people of Ammon, With which they have
reproached My people, And
made arrogant threats against their borders. Zep 2:9 Therefore,
as I live,” Says the LORD of
hosts, the God of Israel, “Surely Moab shall be like
Sodom, And the people of
Ammon like Gomorrah Overrun with weeds and saltpits,
And a perpetual
desolation. The residue of My people shall plunder
them, And the remnant of My
people shall possess them.” HAGRITES OR
HAGARENES Possibly the
descendants of
Hagar, they dwelt in the East land of Gilead possibly
Iraq. Very little
is said about
them in the bible, but if they were the descendants of
Hagar, they would be
trouble to Israel now as they were when she was with
Sarah and Abraham. 1Ch 5:10 Now in the
days of Saul they made war with
the Hagrites, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt
in their tents throughout
the entire area east of Gilead. 1Ch 5:20 And they
were helped against them, and the
Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who
were with them, for they
cried out to God in the battle. He heeded their
prayer, because they put their
trust in Him. GEBAL 1Ki 5:18 So
Solomon’s builders, Hiram’s builders, and
the Gebalites quarried them; and they prepared
timber and stones to build the
temple. The people
of Gebal were in
Tyrus. Could be Hezbollah. Eze 27:9 Elders of
Gebal and its wise men Were in you
to caulk your seams; All the ships of the sea And
their oarsmen were in you To
market your merchandise. Very little
is said about
them in the Bible, so our resources are limited. It is in
modern day Lebanon,
Jubayl {Byblos} Gebal was a sea port in Phoenicia. The
people of Gebal were
ship builders. AMMON This nation
is the brother to
Moab, started by an incest act, this nation is of the
younger daughter of Lot,
these people are interbred. These people
are Jordanians. Gen 19:38 And the
younger, she also bore a son and
called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the
people of Ammon to this day. Look at the
reasons why Ammon
went to war against Israel. Jdg 11:12 Now
Jephthah sent messengers to the king of
the people of Ammon, saying, “What do you have
against me, that you have come
to fight against me in my land?” Jdg 11:13 And the
king of the people of Ammon answered
the messengers of Jephthah, “Because Israel took
away my land when they came up
out of Egypt, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok,
and to the Jordan. Now
therefore, restore those lands peaceably.” David had
trouble with these
people. 2Sa 10:6 When the
people of Ammon saw that they had
made themselves repulsive to David, the people of
Ammon sent and hired the
Syrians of Beth Rehob and the Syrians of Zoba,
twenty thousand foot soldiers;
and from the king of Maacah one thousand men, and
from Ish-Tob twelve thousand
men. This
interbred nation are a
cruel people. Amo 1:13 Thus says
the LORD: “For three transgressions
of the people of Ammon, and for four, I will not
turn away its punishment,
Because they ripped open the women with child in
Gilead, That they might
enlarge their territory. God will
repay them for their
actions. Zep 2:9 Therefore,
as I live,” Says the LORD of
hosts, the God of Israel, “Surely Moab shall be like
Sodom, And the people of
Ammon like Gomorrah Overrun with weeds and saltpits,
And a perpetual
desolation. The residue of My people shall plunder
them, And the remnant of My
people shall possess them.” AMALEK This
scripture shows that
Amalek is related to Edom. Could be modern day
Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO) or Hamas. Gen 36:12 Now Timna
was the concubine of Eliphaz,
Esau’s son, and she bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These
were the sons of Adah, Esau’s
wife. The Lord
will have war with
Amalek from generation to generation. Exo 17:14 Then the
LORD said to Moses, “Write this for
a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing
of Joshua, that I will
utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from
under heaven.” Exo 17:15 And Moses
built an altar and called its name,
The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; Exo 17:16 for he
said, “Because the LORD has sworn: the
LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to
generation.” Look what
they did to Israel. Deu 25:17 “Remember
what Amalek did to you on the way
as you were coming out of Egypt, Deu 25:18 how he met
you on the way and attacked your
rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when
you were tired and weary; and
he did not fear God. Deu 25:19 Therefore
it shall be, when the LORD your God
has given you rest from your enemies all around, in
the land which the LORD
your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance,
that you will blot out the
remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall
not forget. PHILISTINES Notice how
destructive they
are. Modern day Palestine. Gen 26:15 Now the
Philistines had stopped up all the
wells which his father’s servants had dug in the
days of Abraham his father,
and they had filled them with earth. These people
have been at war
with Israel for a long time. 1Sa 7:7 Now when
the Philistines heard that the
children of Israel had gathered together at Mizpah,
the lords of the
Philistines went up against Israel. And when the
children of Israel heard of
it, they were afraid of the Philistines. God was not
pleased with
them. 1Sa 7:13 So the
Philistines were subdued, and they did
not come anymore into the territory of Israel. And
the hand of the LORD was
against the Philistines all the days of Samuel. They have
the old hatred. Eze 25:15 ‘Thus says
the Lord GOD: “Because the
Philistines dealt vengefully and took vengeance with
a spiteful heart, to destroy
because of the old hatred,” TYRE Tyre is a
harlot. Modern day
Lebanon. Isa 23:15 Now it
shall come to pass in that day that
Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to
the days of one king. At the
end of seventy years it will happen to Tyre as in
the song of the harlot: Isa 23:17 And it
shall be, at the end of seventy years,
that the LORD will deal with Tyre. She will return
to her hire, and commit
fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on
the face of the earth. They sold
the children of
Judah to the Greeks. Joe 3:4 “Indeed,
what have you to do with Me, O Tyre
and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? Will you
retaliate against Me? But
if you retaliate against Me, Swiftly and speedily I
will return your
retaliation upon your own head; Joe 3:5 Because
you have taken My silver and My gold,
And have carried into your temples My prized
possessions. Joe 3:6 Also the
people of Judah and the people of
Jerusalem You have sold to the Greeks, That you may
remove them far from their
borders. Joe 3:7 “Behold, I
will raise them Out of the place
to which you have sold them, And will return your
retaliation upon your own
head. Joe 3:8 I will
sell your sons and your daughters Into
the hand of the people of Judah, And they will sell
them to the Sabeans, To a
people far off; For the LORD has spoken.” God is
against her. Eze 26:2 “Son of
man, because Tyre has said against
Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She is broken who was the gateway
of the peoples; now she is
turned over to me; I shall be filled; she is laid
waste.’ Eze 26:3 “Therefore
thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Behold, I
am against you, O Tyre, and will cause many nations
to come up against you, as
the sea causes its waves to come up. Eze 26:4 And they
shall destroy the walls of Tyre and
break down her towers; I will also scrape her dust
from her, and make her like
the top of a rock. ASSUR It would
appear that Assur
and Asshur are the same. These people are white and
the descendants of Shem.
Today modern Iraq. Gen 10:22 The sons
of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad,
Lud, and Aram. Notice the
following
scriptures it shows that the Assyrians oppressed the
Israelites in Egypt. Isa 10:24 Therefore
thus says the Lord GOD of hosts: “O
My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of
the Assyrian. He shall strike
you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in
the manner of Egypt. Isa 52:4 For thus
says the Lord GOD: “My people went
down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the
Assyrian oppressed them
without cause. 1Sa 10:18 and said
to the children of Israel, “Thus
says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I brought up Israel
out of Egypt, and delivered
you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand
of all kingdoms and from
those who oppressed you.’ As we have
shown in our
article ‘The Great Whore’, Jerusalem is where the
whore sits. Let’s look
at the many names
Jerusalem is called in the end times, and the obvious
facts that the 10 nations
have taken her over, and that she no longer has the
ways of God being obeyed in
her. Isa 51:17 Awake,
awake! Stand up, O Jerusalem, You who
have drunk at the hand of the LORD The cup of His
fury; You have drunk the
dregs of the cup of trembling, And drained it out. Isa 51:18 There is
no one to guide her Among all the
sons she has brought forth; Nor is there any who
takes her by the hand Among
all the sons she has brought up. Remember
that Jerusalem is
drunk with the blood of the saints. Rev 17:6 I saw the
woman, drunk with the blood of the
saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.
And when I saw her, I
marveled with great amazement. Isa 51:21 Therefore
please hear this, you afflicted,
And drunk but not with wine. Worship of
the beast. Isa 51:23 But I will
put it into the hand of those who
afflict you, Who have said to you, ‘Lie down, that
we may walk over you.’ And
you have laid your body like the ground, And as the
street, for those who walk
over.” Notice that
Jerusalem is not
the home to the circumcised Israelites. Isa 52:1 Awake,
awake! Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the
holy city! For the uncircumcised
and the unclean Shall no longer come to you. Jerusalem is
called the
Daughter of Zion, and is captive, she is run over by
the Uncircumcised Arabs. Isa 52:2 Shake
yourself from the dust, arise; Sit
down, O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of
your neck, O captive
daughter of Zion! Jerusalem
will be cleansed. Isa 4:4 When the
Lord has washed away the filth of
the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of
Jerusalem from her midst, by the
spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, |
