THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
The Ten
Commandments must be
kept to attain eternal life. We’ll go through every
commandment to make sure
all are kept. Every commandment is broken by most
people. We must have
no other gods
before God the Father. Jesus Christ should be
worshipped, but God the Father
must come first. Exo 20:1 And God
spoke all these words, saying: Exo 20:2 “I am
the LORD your God, who brought you out
of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 “You
shall have no other gods before Me. Exo 34:14 (for you
shall worship no other god, for the
LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), No idols or
graven images
must be bowed down to. Shadrach, Meshack, and
Abednego chose death other than
bowing down to a false idol. Mercy is shown to
people who keep the
commandments. Dan 3:12 There
are certain Jews whom you have set over
the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these
men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They
do not serve your gods or
worship the gold image which you have set up.” Dan 3:13 Then
Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave
the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abed-Nego. So they brought these
men before the king. Dan 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar
spoke, saying to them, “Is it
true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you
do not serve my gods or
worship the gold image which I have set up? Dan 3:15 Now if
you are ready at the time you hear the
sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and
psaltery, in symphony with all kinds
of music, and you fall down and worship the image
which I have made, good! But
if you do not worship, you shall be cast
immediately into the midst of a
burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will
deliver you from my hands?” Dan 3:16 Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and
said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no
need to answer you in this
matter. Dan 3:17 If that
is the case, our God whom we serve is
able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,
and He will deliver us from
your hand, O king. Dan 3:18 But if
not, let it be known to you, O king,
that we do not serve your gods, nor will we
worship the gold image which you
have set up.” Exo 20:4 “You
shall not make for yourself a carved
image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth
beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Exo 20:5 you
shall not bow down to them nor serve
them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children to the third and fourth
generations of those who hate
Me, Exo 20:6 but
showing mercy to thousands, to those who
love Me and keep My commandments. Lev 26:1 ‘You
shall not make idols for yourselves;
neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall
you rear up for yourselves; nor
shall you set up an engraved stone in your land,
to bow down to it; for I am
the LORD your God. Deu 27:15 ‘Cursed
is the one who makes a carved or
molded image, an abomination to the LORD, the work
of the hands of the
craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ “And all the
people shall answer and say,
‘Amen!’ Blasphemy is
on nearly every
television show, and most people have blasphemy as
part of their talking. Exo 20:7 “You
shall not take the name of the LORD your
God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him
guiltless who takes His name in
vain. Jas 2:6 But you
have dishonored the poor man. Do not
the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? Jas 2:7 Do they
not blaspheme that noble name by
which you are called? Psa 139:20 For they
speak against You wickedly; Your
enemies take Your name in vain. The Sabbath
must be kept
forever. Exo 20:8 “Remember
the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exo 20:9 Six days
you shall labor and do all your
work, Exo 20:10 but the
seventh day is the Sabbath of the
LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you,
nor your son, nor your
daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female
servant, nor your cattle, nor
your stranger who is within your gates. Exo 20:11 For in
six days the LORD made the heavens and
the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and
rested the seventh day.
Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and
hallowed it. Exo 31:14 You
shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it
is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall
surely be put to death; for
whoever does any work on it, that person shall be
cut off from among his
people. Exo 31:16 Therefore
the children of Israel shall keep
the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout
their generations as a perpetual
covenant. Exo 31:17 It is a
sign between Me and the children of
Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the
heavens and the earth, and on
the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ” Children can
be put to death
if they do not obey their parents. Exo 20:12 “Honor
your father and your mother, that your
days may be long upon the land which the LORD your
God is giving you. Deu 21:18 “If a
man has a stubborn and rebellious son
who will not obey the voice of his father or the
voice of his mother, and who,
when they have chastened him, will not heed them, Deu 21:19 then his
father and his mother shall take
hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his
city, to the gate of his
city. Deu 21:20 And they
shall say to the elders of his city,
‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he
will not obey our voice; he is
a glutton and a drunkard.’ Deu 21:21 Then all
the men of his city shall stone him
to death with stones; so you shall put away the
evil from among you, and all
Israel shall hear and fear. Deu 27:16 ‘Cursed
is the one who treats his father or
his mother with contempt.’ “And all the people
shall say, ‘Amen!’ There are
murders in cities
nearly every day. Murderers will not be in God’s
kingdom. Exo 20:13 “You
shall not murder. Rev 21:8 But the
cowardly, unbelieving, abominable,
murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters,
and all liars shall have
their part in the lake which burns with fire and
brimstone, which is the second
death.” Adulterers
are very common
these days. There are many clubs that help people to
commit adultery, and all
sorts of sexual deviations. Exo 20:14 “You
shall not commit adultery. Lev 20:10 ‘The man
who commits adultery with another
man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his
neighbour’s wife, the adulterer
and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death. Stealing is
very common because
of the greed of most people. Exo 20:15 “You
shall not steal. Deu 24:7 “If a
man is found kidnapping any of his
brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats
him or sells him, then that
kidnapper shall die; and you shall put away the
evil from among you. Most people
are liars. Exo 20:16 “You
shall not bear false witness against
your neighbor. Joh 8:44 You are of your
father the devil, and the desires of your father
you want to do. He was a
murderer from the beginning, and does not stand
in the truth, because there is
no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks
from his own resources, for he
is a liar and the father of it. Coveting is
everywhere as
people want bigger houses than their neighbour. Exo 20:17 “You
shall not covet your neighbor’s house;
you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his
male servant, nor his female
servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything
that is your neighbor’s.” The
following verse is
happening in our countries. Hos 4:2 By
swearing and lying, Killing and stealing
and committing adultery, They break all restraint,
With bloodshed upon
bloodshed. The Sabbath
is only kept
correctly by the very few. Exo 31:16 Therefore
the children of Israel shall keep
the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout
their generations as a perpetual
covenant. Exo 31:17 It is a
sign between Me and the children of
Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the
heavens and the earth, and on
the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ” We have to
keep God’s Ten
Commandments to attain eternal life. Deu 27:26 ‘Cursed
is the one who does not confirm all
the words of this law.’ “And all the people shall
say, ‘Amen!’ ” Rev 22:14 Blessed
are those who do His commandments,
that they may have the right to the tree of life,
and may enter through the
gates into the city. Deu 28:9 “The
LORD will establish you as a holy people
to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you
keep the commandments of the
LORD your God and walk in His ways. 1Jn 2:4 He who
says, “I know Him,” and does not keep
His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not
in him. |
