THE RIGHTEOUS BRANCH

This article will show that a resurrected King David accompanies God the Father to bring the Israelites out of captivity, back to Israel.

Everyone should realise that Isaiah 9 v 6 is incorrectly translated; when this is corrected, it helps to understand other verses, which relate to David.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Every baptised person should know that Jesus Christ is not the Mighty God, or the everlasting Father.

Jer 32:18  You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them the Great, the Mighty God, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

The correct translation, which can be backed up by a concordance, is as follows

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and ‘the authority who proclaims this is’ Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

We know that this is the correct translation, because Jesus Christ is not the everlasting Father. With that in mind, let’s look at some other scriptures with the same incorrect translation.

God is not happy with the end time Pastors, and will repay them for their evil. God will then set up shepherds who will take care of the Israelites as they come out of captivity. God the Father gathers the Israelites out of all the countries, just as He gathered them out of Egypt in the original exodus.

Jer 23:1  “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the LORD.

Jer 23:2  Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the LORD.

Jer 23:3  “But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Jer 23:4  I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the LORD.

The following scriptures are obviously translated with a certain bias in mind, and are incorrect. The ‘Lord our Righteousness’ is God the Father, He will not raise himself up.

Jer 23:5  “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Jer 23:6  In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

A correct translation, which makes sense, and does not break scripture: would be:-

Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise David a righteous Branch, and this King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and the authority who proclaims this is, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The following scripture is also wrongly translated.

Jer 33:15  ‘In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Jer 33:16  In those days Judah will be saved, And Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name by which she will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.’

A correct translation is:-

In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow. David shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name who proclaims. The LORD our righteousness.

The following scriptures are talking about the time of Israel coming out of captivity. The word ‘branch’ is the same Hebrew word used for David in the above quoted scriptures. Also note that the ‘branch’ is God’s servant.

Zec 3:8  ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.

Jer 30:9  But they shall serve the LORD their God, And David their king, Whom I will raise up for them.

Eze 34:23  I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them My servant David. He shall feed them and be their shepherd.

Eze 34:24  And I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I, the LORD, have spoken.

Eze 37:24  “David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them.

Hos 3:5  Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

God the Father and their King [David] lead Jacob out of captivity.

Mic 2:12  “I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob, I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together like sheep of the fold, Like a flock in the midst of their pasture; They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.

Mic 2:13  The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; Their king will pass before them, With the LORD at their head.”

It is interesting to note that David wanted to build a temple during his physical life, but God did not let him.

1Ki 5:3  You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the LORD put his foes under the soles of his feet.

It was in David’s heart to build a temple to the Lord. He will still do so.

Zec 6:12  Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the LORD;

Zec 6:13  Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” ’

There are four words translated as branch in the New Testament, and thirteen words translated as branch in the Old Testament. The Hebrew word ‘tsemach’ is the word which refers to a resurrected King David. This word which is number ‘H 6780’ in Strong’s Concordance, means a literal or figurative branch or bow.

We have shown from previous articles, that God the Father comes to earth when the Israelites are scattered around the world in captivity. This is the time when the dead firstfruits are resurrected. God the Father brings the Israelites back out of slavery with a resurrected King David.

The branch is God’s servant.

Zec 3:8  ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest, You and your companions who sit before you, For they are a wondrous sign; For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH

The branch builds the temple of the Lord.

Zec 6:12  Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the LORD;

The branch has two offices, He is a king and a priest. He has a throne.

Zec 6:13  Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” ’ [king and priest]

The setting of Jer. Ch. 23 is the second exodus. Read verses 1 to 8 carefully. God the Father gathers the flock and sets a shepherd over them, that shepherd is David; [the Righteous Branch]

Jer 23:7  “Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’

Jer 23:8  but, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.”

Read also Jer. Ch. 33. V 1 to 16. Once again the setting is the second exodus.

Jer 33:1  Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

Jer 33:2  “Thus says the LORD who made it, the LORD who formed it to establish it (the LORD is His name):

Jer 33:3  ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Jer 33:4  “For thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and the houses of the kings of Judah, which have been Pulled down to fortify against the siege mounds and the sword:

Jer 33:5  ‘They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but only to fill their places with the dead bodies of men whom I will slay in My anger and My fury, all for whose wickedness I have hidden My face from this city.

Jer 33:6  Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

Jer 33:7  And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return, and will rebuild those places as at the first.

Jer 33:8  I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.

Jer 33:9  Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.’

Jer 33:10  “Thus says the LORD: ‘Again there shall be heard in this place—of which you say, “It is desolate, without man and without beast”—in the cities of Judah, in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast,

Jer 33:11  the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who will say: “Praise the LORD of hosts, For the LORD is good, For His mercy endures forever”—and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captives of the land to return as at the first,’ says the LORD.

Jer 33:12  “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘In this place which is desolate, without man and without beast, and in all its cities, there shall again be a dwelling place of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

Jer 33:13  In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks shall again pass under the hands of him who counts them,’ says the LORD.

Jer 33:14  ‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah:

Jer 33:15  ‘In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

Jer 33:16  In those days Judah will be saved, And Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name by which she will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.’

God the Father brings the Israelites out of captivity and sets a resurrected King David over them. David then builds a temple with the help of the repentant Israelites

Zec 6:12  Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the LORD;

Zec 6:13  Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” ’

Zec 6:14  “Now the elaborate crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of the LORD for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah.

Zec 6:15  Even those from afar shall come and build the temple of the LORD. Then you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you. And this shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

A resurrected King David is made King and Priest over the Israelites who come out of captivity. Also resurrected are the faithful Levites Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen. The Firstfruits have been resurrected at the return of God the Father. This is prior to the second exodus.

Just as God the Father brought the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land in the first exodus; He also brings them out of slavery after Jacob’s Trouble. God can find no genuine pastors at the end time.
