THE PARABLE OF THE TARES AND WHEAT

Jesus Christ will return to earth at a time completely unknown.

Mat 24:36  "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

The parable of the tares eliminates a time when we thought Christ would return. The Devil will infiltrate the church with evil people, known as children of the Devil.

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;

Mat 13:36  Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

Mat 13:37  He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.

The children of the Kingdom are obviously church members with the Spirit of life.

Mat 13:38  The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

Mat 13:39  The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

The Laodicean church is the last church era before the return of Christ. This church will have faithful members; but it will also have many children of the devil in it. The devils will remain in the church, until the end, and then they will be reaped.

Mat 13:26  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.

Mat 13:27  So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’

Mat 13:28  He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

Mat 13:29  But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.

Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

Mat 13:40  Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.

Mat 13:41  The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,

Mat 13:42  and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 13:43  Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

At the time of the end: Jesus Christ sends angels to do the reaping. These angels are mentioned in Rev. 14. This angel is like the Son of man [Jesus Christ] He is not the Son of man. This is the angel who reaps the tares [children of the devil.]

Rev 14:14  Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.

Rev 14:15  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”

Rev 14:16  So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

This is a different angel.

Rev 14:17  Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

Rev 14:18  And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.”

Rev 14:19  So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

Rev 14:20  And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.

Every church era has had people who are not genuine. The Laodicean era will be full of children of the devil. There will also be overcomers who will have a beautiful reward. The Laodicean era will be the hardest era to be in, but it will have the best reward for overcomers.

Rev 3:21  To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

The Laodicean church will have a mixture of children of the devil, and overcomers. An angel will punish the evil ones before God’s punishment on the whole gentile world. The children of the devil will be instrumental in the setting up of the abomination of desolation; they will entice some seemingly genuine members to be part of the abomination. God’s people must persevere to the end: regardless of what happens to them.

Some will: some won’t.
