THE MYSTERY WHICH IS THE BIBLE

The Bible cannot be understood until God gives the understanding.

1Co 2:6  However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

1Co 2:8  which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Christ hid the meaning of scripture, so that people would not be converted. This is because the knowledge of God brings eternal life, and very few people can accept eternal life, and persevere to the end.

Mat 13:10  And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

Mat 13:11  He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Mat 13:12  For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

Mat 13:13  Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Mat 13:14  And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘HEARING YOU WILL HEAR AND SHALL NOT UNDERSTAND, AND SEEING YOU WILL SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE;

Mat 13:15  FOR THE HEARTS OF THIS PEOPLE HAVE GROWN DULL. THEIR EARS ARE HARD OF HEARING, AND THEIR EYES THEY HAVE CLOSED, LEST THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, LEST THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEARTS AND TURN, SO THAT I SHOULD HEAL THEM.’

When we have eternal life in the form of the spirit of truth: we also have eternal death if that spirit is blasphemed.

Mar 3:29  but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”

When God created all things by Christ; He gave mankind the knowledge of Himself. This means that the original humans had eternal life inherent. The following verses describe what happened to the first humans. They degenerated into homosexuality, and every evil.

Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Rom 1:19  because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

Rom 1:20  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Rom 1:21  because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Rom 1:22  Professing to be wise, they became fools,

Rom 1:23  and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Rom 1:24  Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

Rom 1:25  who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Rom 1:26  For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Rom 1:27  Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Rom 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Rom 1:29  being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

Rom 1:30  backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31  undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Rom 1:32  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Psalm 104 describes the first creation.

Psa 104:1  Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty,

Psa 104:2  Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.

Psa 104:3  He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,

Psa 104:4  Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire.

Psa 104:5  You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever,

Psa 104:6  You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains.

Psa 104:7  At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.

Psa 104:8  They went up over the mountains; They went down into the valleys, To the place which You founded for them.

Psa 104:9  You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, That they may not return to cover the earth.

Psa 104:10  He sends the springs into the valleys; They flow among the hills.

Psa 104:11  They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

Psa 104:12  By them the birds of the heavens have their home; They sing among the branches.

Psa 104:13  He waters the hills from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.

Psa 104:14  He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth,

Psa 104:15  And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man’s heart.

Psa 104:16  The trees of the LORD are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,

Psa 104:17  Where the birds make their nests; The stork has her home in the fir trees.

Psa 104:18  The high hills are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.

Psa 104:19  He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down.

Psa 104:20  You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the beasts of the forest creep about.

Psa 104:21  The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God.

Psa 104:22  When the sun rises, they gather together And lie down in their dens.

Psa 104:23  Man goes out to his work And to his labor until the evening.

Psa 104:24  O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions

Psa 104:25  This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great.

Psa 104:26  There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan  Which You have made to play there.

Psa 104:27  These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season.

Psa 104:28  What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.

God destroyed the original inhabitants of earth, because they had the holy Spirit of life, and they blasphemed it. They had everything, but turned to idolatry, and sodomy. Mankind degenerated into what we know as cavemen.

Psa 104:29  You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

Psa 104:30  You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.

Note the dual promise in the next verse. God did not destroy the earth with Noah’s flood.

Gen 9:11  Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

God recreated the earth, He then created mankind once again [Adam and Eve.] This time, God did not give them the knowledge of Himself: He gave them an option.

Adam and Eve could have eaten of the tree of life.

Gen 2:9  And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

To eat of the tree of life: would have been to choose righteousness. This tree was available in Eden, and eternal life was the reward.

Rev 22:14  Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

To eat of the tree of good and evil, was to choose to live life without obedience to God. Mankind took to themselves the knowledge of good and evil; disregarding God’s way of life.

Gen 2:16  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

Gen 2:17  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Adam and Eve chose to disregard God’s laws, and decide for themselves what was right, and what was wrong. This decision brought spiritual death to them.

Mankind had now headed toward spiritual death; but because they were not given eternal life, as were the first humans, they could not blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ had known from the beginning, that He would pay the penalty for mans sins.

Rev 13:8  All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

God has the words of eternal life in the Bible, but He has to reveal these words before they can be understood. Mankind is degenerating to every evil, just as they did in the first creation; but this time they do not have eternal life inherent, so they cannot blaspheme God’s Spirit.

2Pe 2:20  For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.

2Pe 2:21  For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

What beautiful love: God the Father has for mankind. Time after time; mankind has rejected God, but that same God will eventually give everyone a chance for eternal life at the time, which will suit them best.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

1Co 15:23  But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

1Co 15:24  Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

God has kept secret the knowledge of the truth from the vast majority of mankind. This ensures that everyone will have a chance for eternal life at a time, which best suits them, to be successful with their calling.
