THE LOST FLOCK

The Lost Flock are faithful members of God’s church who may not necessarily all belong to the one church organisation, at this time, but this will change, and the flock will be united in one church.

Since the death of God’s faithful minister Mr. Herbert Armstrong, many members have been scattered, put out, been wounded and become disheartened.

Where are these people who are still faithful to God, but not necessarily in the one church?

There is only one true Church.

1Co 12:12  For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

Joh 10:16  And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

All these lost people are out there somewhere and it is our desire to find them and bring them all back to the fold of God.

Right now, the original Worldwide church of God is broken and scattered in over a hundred separate churches and no doubt many individuals who were once members of the Worldwide church have decided to remain at home and not belong to any church at all.

God is not happy with the ministers who have caused the flock to be scattered.

Jer 23:1  “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the LORD.

Jer 23:2  Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the LORD.

There are many verses in the Bible showing that God is greatly displeased with the shepherds of His sheep, because they take little care for the flock and are only concerned for their own wellbeing.

Eze 34:7  ‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:

Eze 34:8  “As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock”

Eze 34:9  therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the LORD!

Eze 34:10  Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.”

Eze 34:11  ‘For thus says the Lord GOD: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.

To be a member of God’s flock you would have to agree that Mr. Armstrong was a faithful servant of God. Since his death, there has been a tremendous effort to discredit him and do away with his teachings. Mr. Armstrong put new truth into the Philadelphia era of the church, this new truth and understanding was not accepted by the Sardis era.

Today is no different, we are now in the Laodicean era of God’s church, and there is new knowledge and truth known by this era which people of the Philadelphian era just simply will not accept.

Eph 4:13  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

For example the new knowledge of the Father and Christ.

1Co 8:6  yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

1Co 8:7  However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

The new knowledge of the Father is that He is the one true God and that He alone has existed for eternity. There is ONE TRUE GOD.

The new knowledge of Christ is that He is the born Son of God before creation. Christ has not existed forever He was born of the Father before anything else was created.

If the above new truths can be accepted then you are one of God’s flock. This new knowledge may seem scary to some members because it differs from the teachings of the Philadelphian era, but each era has different knowledge and understanding. We must study our Bibles and pray and ask God to open our hearts and minds to this new knowledge and understanding if we want to be in the last era of God’s church the Laodicean era.

It is very important that we believe the Bible and not some man’s teachings. This new knowledge is accepted by study and prayer and a teachable heart. We must believe God and love the truth and back this up with obedience.

We are seeking the lost sheep of God’s flock, but if they do not want to be found, and will not listen to the voice of God we cannot help them.

All the flock of God will be united under the truth of God.

Joh 10:3  To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

Joh 10:4  And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

Joh 10:5  Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

We do not put forth our ideas and thoughts, what we believe are the words of God from the pages of the Bible. Who wants to hear what we think or believe?

We have new knowledge on many many subjects, a far greater understanding of the holy days and much much more, but members of the flock must search the scriptures and prove that what we teach is correct.

Act 17:10  Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Act 17:11  These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

What the flock need to do is if they are a member of a church, see if what they are being taught is the truth. Are we looking for new knowledge and new understanding? This is a requirement of God. We are told to grow.

2Pe 3:18  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Pro 2:3  Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,

Pro 2:4  If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;

Pro 2:5  Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Pro 2:6  For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

For many years the churches have been standing still, with no new knowledge or understanding added to the church’s teachings. Is this acceptable? God clearly tells us that we are to grow, to continue learning and to further our understanding.

Far from it……this standing still is not acceptable and we must question why this has been allowed to happen in the church.

God has put a huge amount of new knowledge and understanding into the last era of His church. However, if we are not prepared to study and pray about this new knowledge perhaps, we will not be given the understanding of it by God.

We have to seek these things.

Mat 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We hope that you are one of the missing sheep from God’s fold, and if you are we want to share all the new knowledge of this era of God’s church with you.

Psa 119:173  Let Your hand become my help, For I have chosen Your precepts.

Psa 119:174  I long for Your salvation, O LORD, And Your law is my delight.

Psa 119:175  Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; And let Your judgments help me.

Psa 119:176  I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.

The following scripture is dual it refers to Israel and the church, God will bring His church together as one. His flock will be united under one banner.

Eze 34:12  As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.
