LUKEWARM MEMBERS
The main
aspect of the
Laodicean era of God’s church is lukewarmness: this
attitude, unless repented
of, will cause us to be spewed out of God’s mouth. Rev 3:15 “I know your works,
that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish
you were cold or hot. Rev 3:16 So then, because you
are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will
vomit you out of My mouth. There is
going to be a great
power of evil, which will infiltrate the last era of
God’s church. These people
are foreordained to this condemnation. Jud 1:3 Beloved,
while I was very diligent to write
to you concerning our common salvation, I found it
necessary to write to you
exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith
which was once for all
delivered to the saints. Jud 1:4 For
certain men have crept in unnoticed, who
long ago were marked out for this condemnation,
ungodly men, who turn the grace
of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God
and our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Pe 2:1 But there
were also false prophets among the
people, even as there will be false teachers among
you, who will secretly bring
in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who
bought them, and bring on
themselves swift destruction. My wife and
I have shown very
clearly from the words of God that there is only one
true God: God the Father,
and Jesus Christ the Son of God. These abovementioned
people will deny God and
Christ. Let’s keep in mind that the knowledge of one
true God has been restored
only in this last era of God’s true church. The above
scriptures apply to this
end time. Many will be
deceived. 2Pe 2:2 And many
will follow their destructive ways,
because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. These people
are covetous. 2Pe 2:3 By
covetousness they will exploit you with
deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has
not been idle, and their
destruction does not slumber. They are
greedy. Jud 1:11 Woe to
them! For they have gone in the way of
Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for
profit, and perished in the
rebellion of Korah. They choose
men’s admiration
over God’s word. Jud 1:16 These are
grumblers, complainers, walking
according to their own lusts; and they mouth great
swelling words, flattering
people to gain advantage. These wicked
people are
adulterous, they despise government, they are
self-willed, not God willed, and
speak evil of those above them in authority. 2Pe 2:10 and
especially those who walk according to
the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise
authority. They are
presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to
speak evil of dignitaries, Jud 1:8 Likewise
also these dreamers defile the
flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of
dignitaries. The Bible
tells us who these
people are; be prepared for a shock. These people
who have come
into God’s church unawares, have been damned for a
long time. Damned is
destruction or perdition. God will punish them at the
correct time. 2Pe 2:3 By
covetousness they will exploit you with
deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has
not been idle, and their
destruction does not slumber. 2Pe 2:9 then the
Lord knows how to deliver the godly
out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under
punishment for the day of
judgment, They are
‘twice dead’
repentance is unavailable. Jud 1:12 These are
spots in your love feasts, while
they feast with you without fear, serving only
themselves. They are clouds
without water, carried about by the winds; late
autumn trees without fruit,
twice dead, pulled up by the roots; They are
cursed. 2Pe 2:13 and will
receive the wages of
unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to
carouse in the daytime. They
are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own
deceptions while they feast
with you, 2Pe 2:14 having
eyes full of adultery and that cannot
cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a
heart trained in covetous
practices, and are accursed children. They are
made [born] to be
destroyed. 2Pe 2:12 But these,
like natural brute beasts made to
be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things
they do not understand, and
will utterly perish in their own corruption, Jud 1:10 But these
speak evil of whatever they do not
know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute
beasts, in these things they
corrupt themselves. Ordained to
condemnation. Jud 1:4 For
certain men have crept in unnoticed, who
long ago were marked out for this condemnation,
ungodly men, who turn the grace
of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God
and our Lord Jesus Christ. The
blackness of darkness
[second death] Jud 1:13 raging
waves of the sea, foaming up their own
shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the
blackness of darkness forever. 2Pe 2:17 These are
wells without water, clouds carried
by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of
darkness forever. They are the
sons or
grandsons of Christ who have married daughters of men.
The progeny of these
marriages has gone bad. Gen 6:2 that the
sons of God saw the daughters of
men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives
for themselves of all whom
they chose. 1Pe 3:19 by whom
also He went and preached to the
spirits in prison, 1Pe 3:20 who
formerly were disobedient, when once the
Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah,
while the ark was being
prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were
saved through water. The rest of
2nd Peter 2 needs
to be read carefully. The
deceiver’s vain words can
delude those who have come out of this world. 2Pe 2:18 For when
they speak great swelling words of
emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the
flesh, through lewdness, the
ones who have actually escaped from those who live
in error. If we are
overcome by the
servants of corruption; we are brought into the same
corruption. 2Pe 2:19 While they
promise them liberty, they
themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a
person is overcome, by him
also he is brought into bondage. This is
talking about the
membership who have been converted, and then deceived
into going back to the
pollution of this world. 2Pe 2:20 For if,
after they have escaped the
pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the
Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ, they are again entangled in them and
overcome, the latter end is worse
for them than the beginning. If we turn
back after knowing
the way of righteousness, we have committed the
unpardonable sin. 2Pe 2:21 For it
would have been better for them not to
have known the way of righteousness, than having
known it, to turn from the
holy commandment delivered to them. No comment
needed. 2Pe 2:22 But it has
happened to them according to the
true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and,
“a sow, having washed, to
her wallowing in the mire.” Be on guard. Jud 1:17 But you,
beloved, remember the words which
were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus
Christ: Jud 1:18 how they
told you that there would be mockers
in the last time who would walk according to their
own ungodly lusts. Jud 1:19 These are
sensual persons, who cause
divisions, not having the Spirit. What
beautiful advice; ‘keep
yourselves in the love of God’ Jud 1:20 But you,
beloved, building yourselves up on
your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jud 1:21 keep
yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal
life. We must help
where we can. Jud 1:22 And on
some have compassion, making a
distinction; Jud 1:23 but others
save with fear, pulling them out
of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the
flesh. God the
Father is on our
side. Jud 1:24 Now to Him
who is able to keep you from
stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the
presence of His glory with
exceeding joy, Jud 1:25 To God our
Savior, Who alone is wise, Be
glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and
forever. Amen. COMMENT It should be
obvious to
anyone who has read our articles on the sons of God;
that the children of the
devil infiltrate God’s end time church with intentions
of destroying it. Judas
Iscariot tried to destroy Christ. His punishment will
be the same as all the
evil sons of God: the second death. Isa 14:21 Prepare
slaughter for his children Because of
the iniquity of their fathers, Lest they rise up and
possess the land, And fill
the face of the world with cities.” The
predominating factor in
the Laodicean church is lukewarmness, which is
self-righteousness. We have just
seen that this condition will be encouraged by the
evil descendants of God. Rev 3:17 Because you say, ‘I
am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of
nothing’—and do not know that
you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and
naked Unlike the
descendants of the
sons of God, we can repent. Rev 3:18 I counsel you to buy
from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be
rich; and white garments,
that you may be clothed, that the shame of your
nakedness may not be revealed;
and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may
see. Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I
rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and
repent. Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at
the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and
opens the door, I will come in
to him and dine with him, and he with Me. The
Laodicean church is the
hardest church to be in, but it has far and away the
best reward. Rev 3:21 To him who overcomes
I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I
also overcame and sat down with
My Father on His throne. Do we have
an ear to hear? Rev 3:22 “He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches.” ’ ” |
