EGYPT IN PROPHECY
Egypt has a big part to
play in end time events. There
will be a king who claims to be a descendant of the
ancient Pharaohs. Isa 19:4
And the Egyptians I will give Into the hand
of a cruel master, And a
fierce king will rule over them,” Says the Lord, the
LORD of hosts. Isa 19:11
Surely the princes of Zoan are fools;
Pharaoh’s wise counselors give
foolish counsel. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am
the son of the wise, The son
of ancient kings?” When Israel [Great
Britain] is going through the time of
Jacob’s trouble: they turn to Egypt for help, instead
of turning to God. Hos 7:11
“Ephraim also is like a silly dove, without
sense— They call to Egypt,
They go to Assyria. Isa 30:1
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the
LORD, “Who take counsel, but
not of Me, And who devise plans, but not of My
Spirit, That they may add sin to
sin; Isa 30:2
Who walk to go down to Egypt, And have not
asked My advice, To
strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh,
And to trust in the shadow of
Egypt! Isa 31:1
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
And rely on horses, Who
trust in chariots because they are many, And in
horsemen because they are very
strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of
Israel, Nor seek the LORD! Egypt will be no help
to Israel. Isa 30:3
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh Shall be
your shame, And trust in the
shadow of Egypt Shall be your humiliation. Eze 29:6
“Then all the inhabitants of Egypt Shall know
that I am the LORD,
Because they have been a staff of reed to the house
of Israel. Eze 29:7
When they took hold of you with the hand, You
broke and tore all their
shoulders; When they leaned on you, You broke and
made all their backs quiver.” Isa 36:6
Look! You are trusting in the staff of this
broken reed, Egypt, on which
if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce
it. So is Pharaoh king of
Egypt to all who trust in him. The end time Pharaoh is
a beast. Eze 29:3
Speak, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD:
“Behold, I am against you, O
Pharaoh king of Egypt, O great monster who lies in
the midst of his rivers, Who
has said, ‘My River is my own; I have made it for
myself.’ Eze 32:2
“Son of man, take up a lamentation for
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to
him: ‘You are like a young lion among the nations,
And you are like a monster
in the seas, Bursting forth in your rivers,
Troubling the waters with your
feet, And fouling their rivers.’ Egypt is in for a
terrible time; the Egyptians will be
punished greatly. Isa 19:1
The burden against Egypt. Behold, the LORD
rides on a swift cloud, And
will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter
at His presence, And the
heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. Isa 19:2
“I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;
Everyone will fight against his
brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City
against city, kingdom against
kingdom. Isa 19:14
The LORD has mingled a perverse spirit in her
midst; And they have
caused Egypt to err in all her work, As a drunken
man staggers in his vomit. Egypt will be
decimated, and dispersed throughout the
earth. Eze 29:9
And the land of Egypt shall become desolate
and waste; then they will
know that I am the LORD, because he said, ‘The River
is mine, and I have made
it.’ Eze 29:11
Neither foot of man shall pass through it nor
foot of beast pass through
it, and it shall be uninhabited forty years. Eze 29:12
I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the
midst of the countries
that are desolate; and among the cities that are
laid waste, her cities shall
be desolate forty years; and I will scatter the
Egyptians among the nations and
disperse them throughout the countries.” It is God the Father
who uses King Nebuchadnezzar to smite
Egypt and it is God the Father who brings them back to
Egypt. Isa 19:22
And the LORD will strike Egypt, He will
strike and heal it; they will
return to the LORD, and He will be entreated by them
and heal them. God loves Egypt, and
will eventually elevate them to the
same status as Israel. Isa 19:25
whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying,
“Blessed is Egypt My people,
and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My
inheritance.” Egypt is decimated by
Nebuchadnezzar; King of Babylon. Eze 29:18
“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon
caused his army to labor
strenuously against Tyre; every head was made bald,
and every shoulder rubbed
raw; yet neither he nor his army received wages from
Tyre, for the labor which
they expended on it. Eze 29:19
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Surely I
will give the land of Egypt
to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; he shall take
away her wealth, carry off her
spoil, and remove her pillage; and that will be the
wages for his army. Eze 29:20
I have given him the land of Egypt for his
labor, because they worked
for Me,’ says the Lord GOD. Eze 30:4
The sword shall come upon Egypt, And great
anguish shall be in Ethiopia,
When the slain fall in Egypt, And they take away her
wealth, And her
foundations are broken down. Eze 30:10
‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will also make a
multitude of Egypt to cease
By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. Eze 30:11
He and his people with him, the most terrible
of the nations, Shall be
brought to destroy the land; They shall draw their
swords against Egypt, And
fill the land with the slain. Pharaoh and his
henchmen are in the nether parts of the
earth. [pit.] Eze 31:2
“Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and
to his multitude: ‘Whom
are you like in your greatness? Eze 31:18
‘To which of the trees in Eden will you then
be likened in glory and
greatness? Yet you shall be brought down with the
trees of Eden to the depths
of the earth; you shall lie in the midst of the
uncircumcised, with those slain
by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his
multitude,’ says the Lord GOD.” Eze 32:18
“Son of man, wail over the multitude of
Egypt, And cast them down to the
depths of the earth, Her and the daughters of the
famous nations, With those
who go down to the Pit: Eze 32:31
“Pharaoh will see them And be comforted over
all his multitude, Pharaoh
and all his army, Slain by the sword,” Says the Lord
GOD. Egypt is decimated at
the time that Israel is starting to
prosper after the second exodus. Eze 29:21
‘In that day I will cause the horn of the
house of Israel to spring
forth, and I will open your mouth to speak in their
midst. Then they shall know
that I am the LORD.’ ” The Egyptians are
gathered back to Egypt after forty
years. Eze 29:13
‘Yet, thus says the Lord GOD: “At the end of
forty years I will gather
the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they were
scattered. During the time of
Jacob’s trouble: Jacob calls to Egypt
for help, but it is not forthcoming. There will be an
end time Pharaoh, who is
actually a beast, and rules Egypt cruelly.
Nebuchadnezzar decimates Egypt, and
they are scattered through the nations for forty
years. Eventually the
Egyptians come back to Egypt after forty years and
turn to God. |
